I'll try giving it a shot. Mandrake's version of the AMD64 distro was a bit too expensive for me when it came out (didn't realize it cost almost as much as WinXP OEM!!!)
I've got Suse 9.0 Professional now and will be doing a write up for my website on it. I'll attempt to give freevo a spin on that! I'll definitely need some help, though. BTW, Erwan, since you're from Mandrake...I had a question: the MandrakeMove LiveCD that ya'll published does NOT work on my AMD64 system (VIA KT8080 [or whatever it is]). I get a kernel panic every single time i try to run it...any thoughts? :-) cheers, dave >> Anyone running freevo 1.5x on a AMD64 system yet? > I never tried but as freevo works on MandrakeLinux distro and this > distro is available under X86_64 I don't see why that product couldn't > run on it. :) > -- > Erwan Velu > Linux Cluster Distribution Project Manager > MandrakeSoft > 43 rue d'aboukir 75002 Paris > Phone Number : +33 (0) 1 40 41 17 94 > Fax Number : +33 (0) 1 40 41 92 00 > Web site : http://www.mandrakesoft.com > OpenPGP key : http://www.mandrakesecure.net/cks/ > -- Do not be too moral.
