I just went fumbled through this process awhile back. follow the
directions outlined in the wiki/documentation/MatroxInfo particurlarly
the section dealing with DirectFB (section3) the web link there has most
of the process.

I can try and answer questions, but I'm no expert and yes it does take
awhile.

It took me 2-3 weeks with a lot of help.
