I don't know if it is usable but on a fedora 1 with 1.5, not upgrade, I have

Another stuff :
I remove the .xvpics directory (made by gimp) to avoid freevo was blocked when
I lunch "freeco cache"
freevo play divx but not dvd. I have a black screen one second and I see the
freevo menu. I can watch dvd with mplayer. How can see more stuff in the log
?
