Hi all,

did any of you who upgraded to Freevo-1.5rc1 experience this? Now this version comes with pygoom support, I installed it from the link on the homepage, I even updated to mmpython 0.4.1, installed lsdvd and then the new Freevo.
When I play videos, TV recordings (from ivtv), everything works ok (it's the same mplayer that worked with 1.5pre1 until I upgraded, same /etc/freevo/local_conf.py, in which I tried the 2 new configuration variables and the new plugin "audio.mplayervis".
The problem oocurs regardless if the visualisation plugin is activated, or not, and I only managed to play a MP3 file if I could quickly press the FF butoon on my remote during the first second it plays ok, so then it played fine and the fancy visualisation animated on the screen, but on the next track the music stops again after about 1s and the visualization freezes. Freevo then responds to commands, I can browse media folders and try to play again something.

One other thing: this visualisation plugin takes about 98% of my 1GHz Duron CPU, (DirectFB on Matrox G400 DH, playing video CPU load ranges from about 25% for some DivX files to 55% to some ivtv recordings), and I try to keep the box as cool as possible, so this visualization plugin is useless for me, I won't use it. The problem is, even if I don't activate it and it doesn't show up, I have that annoying behaviour on playing MP3s, they start playing and immediately stop.
Is there any more info to get from some debug output, if so, what should I do? Otherwise I have to go back to 1.5pre1.

Regards,
Lucian
