Well, I've tried installing Freevo on this today. 
Like you said, python has to be rebuilt. With my
python rpms, I get "can't find python version with
installed freevo" when I run freevo.

I'm using fedora 2 rpms. The only problem one was
python-imaging which I had to use older version.
