First of all, great piece of software. Funny, though, I spent 2 days cursing myself and my computer and life in general for not being able to get freevo to run. If I would've spent 1 minute checking MD5 sums instead of 2 days hassling with configs, dependancies, and various versions of various other related apps and binaries, I woulda realized that the runtime I got was corrupted (dammit).

Anyways, up and running now, with one minor annoyance.

I'm looking at the 'mplayer --help' command line options, and I don't see anything specific regarding this issue, but this is the problem.

When playing out to a DXR3 (using dxr3 for both freevo and mplayer output), it's scaling my divx/xvid videos to odd resolutions, not honoring the original aspect ratios. Specifically it's stretching them a bit vertically. My DivX's look look like the credits of a kung-fu movie :(.

Alot of the aspect ratios aren't perfect, honestly I don't use a specific resize setting when I make them I just jerk the slider around in gordian knot til it looks ok on my Windows box and let it go. But still, other software players don't exhibit the same problem so it's gotta be something screwy with mplayer or something that I'm missing here.

Any way to pass an argument to mplayer to make it respect aspect ratios properly through this card?
