I'm playing around with Leadtek 883 chipset card right now and have it installed in Windows. I have Celeron 1.7GHz with 256MB RAM.
I noticed that I cannot record MPG2 but can only encode to MPG1 worst quality or I get 100% CPU usage and dropped frames. I thought that this card might have hardware encoding capability. Is there anything I can do to lower CPU usage? I heard of a descaler program or something like that, would it lower it?
