Done some more poking.

I took one of the files that made Freevo unhappy and cleaned it up
with Project X (which demuxes the streams at the same time). Then I
multiplexed them again with "mplex -f 3" and threw the result at
Freevo.

Now seeking with the left and right arrows on the remote works, but
the other seek mappings I have -- set up with:

EVENTS['video']['1'] = Event(SEEK, arg='-60')
EVENTS['video']['3'] = Event(SEEK, arg='60')
EVENTS['video']['4'] = Event(SEEK, arg='-30')
EVENTS['video']['6'] = Event(SEEK, arg='30')
EVENTS['video']['7'] = Event(SEEK, arg='-10')
EVENTS['video']['9'] = Event(SEEK, arg="10")

don't work, and using them crashes Freevo. Mplayer keeps chugging
along until it exits, just as before.

The same programme before it went through Project X differs in that
left and right don't work at all. A message seems to be being
displayed at the top of the screen, but I can't see it as the top of
it is chopped off and the text is a bit small.

Playing AVIs or other MPEG files seems to work OK though, it's only
stuff which has come from my DVB-T card. As my most common use for
Freevo is as a front-end to playing back DVB-T recordings, it's a
little frustrating.
