I think there is no "real" timeshifting capabilities yet..  However,
Thinkgs like watching something that is still recording work (at least
with my bttv setup).

Timeshifting would be nice, but its a big project.  If you search the
list you will see its been worked on many times in the past, but a
functional solution (at least one that made it to a freevo release)
never came about...  

I don't think there is anyone working on this right now.. so don't
expect like clicking on the chanel and then hitting pause to work for a
while.  On i side now, a recent topic on this list was about 'c
programer required', with reffernce to getting timeshifting working on
DVB cards...  

I would say once this is working (*if*) it would only be a short hack to
have freevo read from a recordserver stream as appose to a dvb stream..

No idea about what works/doesn't on the ivtv stuff..
