I just recently discovered ivtvdev (vs fbdev) and can
now use the PVR-350 in its full glory (MUCH higher
quality output than my s3 card, but i do get a bit of
tearing and skipping with video playback). now the
only problem is that the overscan nature of the tvout
leaves part of the freevo gui offscreen. is there an
easy way to fix this? i figured it would be possible
to move things around in the skin files, but they are
way too complicated for me to figure out, even with
the documentation.
Also, I have had to switch to using an external perl
script to do the recording, as there doesnt seem to be
a way to run an external channel change command while
using the ivtv driver (i record from a directv
reciever, using serial to change channels). is this
true, or did i just miss something in the docs?
oh, and some hints on how to do livetv with a pvr card
would be nice :)
thanks.
