I use an IRman with gentoo and freevo. I installed libirman (but did not
configure its configuration file), then installed LIRC with the irman as
the driver. I was then able to use irrecord to show me that it was able
to find the irman. Irrecord then let me create the lircd.conf file. I
then created a /etc/freevo/lircrc by mapping the siggested buttons from
the wiki.
