I have a diskless freevo box, which is booted over the network (nfs root), and
it works great (thanks!).

However, since the server is always on, I figured that I should be able to run
a cron job to receive the tv listings for the freevo box.

So what I'd like to achieve is to run the tv_grab stuff from the server,
without having to install freevo on the server by using the files in the
freevo filesystem (remember that the freevo box has it's root directory nfs
mounted from the same server).

Is this at all possible? I fear that xmltv etc. etc. will make it a bit
problematic... ?

Another solution would be to have the cron job edit the init script of the
freevo box, and then wake it by sending a wake-on-lan packet to it. With the
special init sequence only grabbing the tv listings and power down.

However, that makes it hard to handle errors and such.

How are you guys doing the xmltv grabs?
