I don't know the difference but mplayer has an output device called
dfbmga and my suggestion is yo use that. Try mplayer with -vo dfbmga,
if that works and SDL is compiled with directfb support (check the
printouts from configure) Freevo should also work with dfbmga, if thats
entered in freevo.conf.
