I tried echo "1" /proc/sys/dev/cdrom/check_media to no avail and well Gentoo builds everything off sources. I tried removing freevo, mmpython, lsdvd and then installing lsdvd, followed by mmpython then freevo. No joy either.
Anybody got any other suggestions to why it is not detecting any dvd's as movies? Mplayer plays them fine. I had this working on Fedora 2 with no problems.
