Thanks for the reply. I solved the problem, not in the most natural way, but it works again....
Did a clean install of Fedora and now everything works. As I mainly use my linux machine
for Freevo getting everything up and running wasn't that bad after all.


I'm not sure if the png image was the problem as it did work before the upgrade from Redhat 9
to Fedora 2. I guess the image support in pygame was at fault then. I'll probably never know
for sure...

So either misc/freevo_app.png is broken (no png) or your pygame has no image support. You should check the dependencies for pygame.
