Freevo doesn't support graphical LCDs, just the textual ones... many
guys told about writting support for it, but not code AFAIK.  ATM,
your LCD need to be supported by lcdproc 0.4.x.

Some of the information you said are already supported, try it out :)

Are you talking about freevo itself, not the LCD module, right?
If so, yes, it can launch external programs and there is already
examples on how to launch mozilla firefox (look at website, add-ons
section).
