I've seen a couple posts on this but no real answers. I just
installed FC3 and am trying to install freevo but get a 404 http
error on freevo.sf.net/fedora/repodata/repomd.xml. Why is this?

Yum has changed alot by FC3 freevo's yum server needs updating i recon.

I don't use yum (or Fedora). Can someone please tell me how to fix it?

repomd.xml is used by yum in fedora core 3, I _assume_ that it may be
used for apt also.

How do I create it?

Its stored on the repository, I don't know how to create it, maybe a little RTFM will help you.

get the creterepo binary (on Fedora, in the 'createrepo' rpm) and then run 'createrepo path/to/rpms/repo'
