  Did the keyboard lock up before you started Freevo but after you
started X? If yes, First place I would start looking is at drivers. Do
you have another video card you can try? Other than for TV out freevo
does not need a high-end card.

  Yeah agp  issues are serious, One way to solve it is make sure you
do not load the agp modules. That will prevent the agp slot from
acting up and it will simply act like a pci slot. Sucks for games but
freevo should run just fine. If you get the lirc running it will work
just fine even if the keyboard is locked( my current setup,was to lazy
to fix the real problem). THe main issue with the agp bug is that some
MB makers cheat on the agp spec. THe other have of the problem can be
traced to bad drivers. With ATI, you may be S.O.L. on that front.
