All I can say Shawn is I looked into the same ideas you have a few
months back and didn't really come up with much. Con2fb seems to have
very little information out on it and dfbterm I haven't tried. If you do
come up with solutions to boot up screens and terminals share it with
the list. I'd be very interested.
