Hello all,
as anyone who has followed Freevo's progress for a while will know it really has come on a long way. As Freevo has grown so has the wiki. The changeover from the old wiki has brought many impovements and there is now a great wealth of information available there. However there is still a large amount missing for beginners. You can help here with only 2 minutes of your time. If you take a look at http://freevo.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/doc/AnalogueGen you'll find the wiki page with examples for configuring the tv_channels section of freevo. This is probably the main area where beginners have difficulties. You can help immensely by doing one of the following;
Edit the wiki youself, this takes about two minutes to set yourself up, about two more to get used to the basics of editing and one more to copy and paste your tv_channels.
Otherwise take 30 seconds and just email the list with your settings and I'll try upload them when I get a chance. If you do please give me the following information;
Country Analogue or Digital Service (cable) provider tv_channels=
This will be a major boost for new users and will help freevo grow. Feel free to explore the wiki if you have time and see where you might share some of you personal wisdom with others. Remember developers prefer to code rather that write documentation so the less help they have to give here the quicker we'll get Freevo version 2 which promises to amaze.
