You should have google'd for this yourself, but to make you happy here is a link to a mail with the necessary setup info: http://www.spinics.net/lists/vfl/msg15068.html You need to add at least the card=42 option when inserting the saa7134 module into the kernel. For testing purposes you can of course insert the module manually: rmmod saa7134 modprobe saa7134 card=42 Check with dmesg afterwards. To get a list of parameters simply type modinfo saa7134 > (2) How do I get the lirc configured ? This one is > also confusing me. The following (quite recent) link reveils that some other person had also problems, but sort of a solution with the same card, when using MythTV: http://www.spinics.net/lists/vfl/msg14414.html Maybe that guy can help you... > (3) Sound ? No. Using that setup a separate sound device /dev/dsp1 should show up in your device folder if you're using devfs. If not you have to create it on your own: mknod /dev/dsp1 c 14 19 and for the additional mixer mknod /dev/mixer1 c 14 16 > Things are a lot easier in Linux now than 10 years ago > ... Thank you guys.
