Freevo can play any stream that mplayer or xine can. This will also be available in 2.0. The default install includes about 50 streaming radio station presets. You can add your own favourites to this. There is also a plugin for streaming film trailers from Apple's site. For a roadmap have a look at the wiki for v2.

Great to hear this. But I can't find any info about this in the wiki. 'freevo plugins -l' doesn't show me any streaming plugins either. I can see some about internet radio, but none about streamign videos. Could anyone explain me how to set up this?

There doesn't seem to much real info on the wiki alright, I'll try update it when I get a chance. You do not need to activate any additional plugin for streaming radio from the net. I'm not at a freevo box right now so bear with me. From memory in your local_conf.py under AUDIO_ITEMS= one of the examples is for webradio. This points to a file webradio.fxd. Do a search for this and then you can add your own stations to this file or create a new file.
The apple trailers plugin was never part of the core freevo package for legal reasons. There are many additional plugins that do not come by default with freevo, check them out under the addons link on the site. The apple plugin isn't there. I don't remember who created this originally but I had to rewrite it about 6 months ago when apple changed their site. I haven't used this in quite a while, I'll have a look at home tonight and see if it still works. If it does I'll upload it.
