i now use the following for my DVB-T recordings.. VCR_CMD = 'mencoder' + ' -oac copy -ovc copy -o %(filename)s -of mpeg -mpegopts format=dvd "dvb://%(channel)s"' This has the benefits of giving the resulting file a 'length' that freevo can determine (so you can then use the bmovl plugin if you wish, or, so you know how long a file is, time wise), and also the benefit of a file that can easily (and quickly) be burnt to DVD. I will work out how to write plugins one day soon, as my aim is to be able to burn a recording off to DVD with a few button presses on my remote (So if a friend goes 'oh i like that show/movie' i can burn it in minutes.). ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the 'Do More With Dual!' webinar happening July 14 at 8am PDT/11am EDT.
