Hi Scott, I'm actually using matroxfb / mga_vid together with kernel 2.6. My box is configured to also use ACPI S3 suspend / resume which can make your system unstable, but it works perfectly for me. Software on the box is rock-solid and i never get crashes from the software since I started it. However, on 3 occasions the system stalled, but the reason was always the hard-disk (SAMSUNG SV8004H) which reported transfer problems on the ATA-bus (you can check the reason with S.M.A.R.T. utilities).
I also tried DFBmga and it works, but I had more difficulties to configure TVTime, Mplayer and Xine for it. Yes, that's true... I AM USING TVTIME for watching TV... because of much superior picture quality, less CPU usage and better user interface (OSD, key bindings, faster channel switching, etc. ...) then the MPlayer TV hack.
