Do you get any sound when running mplayer as a standalone app? With something like: mplayer tv:// -tv driver=v4l2:input=0 Make sure the mixer input is set to Line In, it is not muted and the volume is not set too low. I assume you use a cable connection from the tuner card to the line in of your sound card. Tom
