Yes, mplayer CVS can play these files, but unfortunately mplayer's postprocessing plugins have changed in CVS. Freevo was not able to produce a working command line for videos any more. So I got audio, but lost video. It seems that there is no "-vf pp" in CVS (there is spp and pp7, which is using huge amount of power) and perhaps freevo could not identify mplayer version right with the CVS version (the version identified was 9999). Here is a mplayer command line caught from DEBUG output: /usr/local/bin/mplayer -autosync 100 -nolirc -autoq 100 -fs -slave -ao alsa -v -vo dfbmga:bes:buffermode=double:tvnorm=pal:fieldparity=bottom -cache 8192 -idx -subpos 80 -ac hwac3, //home/movies/public/star_wreck_in_the_pirkinning_xvid.avi -vf pp=de, poll=256 I do not understand this location of "-vf".
