Certainly. I don't have to do any of that crap with my G400-DH, and i don't
have any of those problems.

http://www.tivo.com - somehow i own three of their fine PVR products in
addition to my Freevo system.

All other solutions require investigation, diagnosis, hypothesis, and
testing.

Yeah, it's an adjustment screw or potentiometer near the yoke on the tube,
assuming it's a CRT. You just don't see the geometry problem with sources
that overscan.

Actually, most good televisions have calibration menus available from
the remote that are not documented in the consumer manual. I highly
recommend that you DO NOT ACCESS THIS MENU, because you really can end up
needing to send the TV back to the manufacturer for service if you screw it
up badly enough.

If you're really concerned about it, there are AV specialists who can
calibrate your television for you. I can recommend an extremely talented
and mild-mannered AV tech in rural Ohio.

Because the Nintendo is designed from the ground up to display to a
television and a $500 computer is not.

Look, my Freevo system uses a G400 dual head card and i have none of these
problems, and when playing, oh, lets say a DVD, the output is comprable to
my Philips DVD player.

I don't think I've used fbset even once since switching to dfbmga.

Are you sure you're actually using dfbmga?

What can you tell us about your configuration?
