Hiya All,

It seems after reading around that the Hauppauge cards seem to work well for use with freevo. My questions has probley been asked before but I was not sure where to look it up at. I am looking to get a card for recording and I saw this one (http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/data_pvr500mce.html) WinTV-PVR-500 MCE, can freevo utilize a card with two inputs, one to record and the other to watch TV? If not what would be a good card to get just so I can record.

Thanks!

Hi Lee,

the pvr cards are supported through the ivtv driver project. Freevo v1.5 has basic support for using two cards, I presume the pvr500 will present a /dev/video0 and a /dev/video1 and then you'd just set each to be the viewing device and the recording device.

John
