I have an asus pundit-r for freevo. I think that some of you have this too.
Right now, I'm using the ati propietary drivers to get tv-out, and it works
well. Meanwhile, I'm setting up another system in another partition in the
same machine, because I'm trying to get a better system without beaking the
one that works. Well, the point is that I've compiled x.org 6.9 with the
gatos patch to get tv-out, and it "works". I say it works because I get image
using the ati driver from x.org, but the image is totally out of sync. I'm
using the same config file than with fglrx, changing the driver, of course.
Some time ago, when the propietary drivers weren't good enough, some people
made them work addind ChipId lines. I've tried this too, but I have no
result. Has anybody of you managed to make this work? And also: is it
possible to have tv-out and 3d at the same time?
