HI

I am not sure.
The one in /usr/share/frevo is copied from the untarred freevo-1.5.4 directory, which is also the one we are supposed to use as a base for the general set-up one that we store in /etc/freevo.
At least this is what I understood ...

If I am not mistaken about this I am sure someone will correct me, but this is
what I think by looking at the files.

/usr/share/freevo/freevo_config.py has the main configuration of freevo as it
should be out of the box (so to speak)

/etc/freevo/local_conf.py contains all the settings you can change which
override the settings in freevo_config.py

they both need to be there and if you look in freevo_config.py there are some
options there that do not exist in local_conf.py.

That is my assumption. Someone will let me/you know if I am wrong.

Quoting Michele Ravani <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

Hi

the manual states that config files are searched for in /etc/freevo
/usr/loacl/etc/freevo and .freevo;

I have a /etc/freevo/local_conf.py and a /usr/share/freevo/freevo_config.py

If I remove either of them freevo fails, without
/etc/freevo/local_conf.py a bit more gracefully.

Is something completely weird with my installation or is it a bug?

Running on kubuntu 5.10

Michele
