Hi there.. Using vdr-xine plugin and when I run it, the following xine process is running: tv 6311 1 0 09:35 ? 00:00:00 /usr/bin/xine --hide-gui -pq -g -B --geometry 640x480+0+0 --no-splash --stdctl -V Xv -A alsa --no-lirc vdr-socket:/192.168.15.10#demux:mpeg_pes
When I insert a DVD and run it, the following xine process is running: tv 6317 5936 21 09:35 tty1 00:00:00 /usr/bin/xine --hide-gui -pq -g -B --geometry 640x480+0+0 --no-splash --stdctl -V Xv -A alsa --no-lirc dvd:///dev/hdc/ Run by the same user. Same command options. What I don't understand though is that I get good spdif out from vdr-xine but static from the dvd (like its sending digital as analog). Its coming through the spdif channel of my receiver. What could be the problem here? Does xine differentiate audio based on source? I hadn't thought so -- reviwing the config in the .xine file, I couldn't find anything. Could it be that I need to connect a digital cable from my dvd drive to the soundcard? Not sure if that would make any difference really. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Norm Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
