Hi, I'm looking for someone who can write Python code and read Perl. Right now we use EXIF.py in kaa.metadata which has some problems with maker notes and can't read IPTC or XMP. I also want the feature to write XMP data for tagging.
There is one lib that can do all of that: http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/ But it is Perl and we don't want to call external tools just to get the information we need. Most of the code is only a mapping of some values with length to the field name. Can anyone help here? Dischi -- Of course there's no reason for it, it's just our policy.
