  Here is an idea that might help a lot off people. Not sure hwo good
your programming is,put have you thought a bought a freevo plugin to
handle the mpd? You good us freevo's lirc integration to for remotely
control the mpd. There are a coupld of good plugin writers on here
that might give you some pointers.
