This sounds about like my first one. IT ran like a champ. I had to use
SMB for remote directories as NFS was just to slow. Also I had to use
Xine for most video as Mplayer had a sync issue. If you video card
supports hardware encoding you should be okay for recording. I beleive
the hauptge TV cards do. THe TV viewing size is just a limit of your
video card.
