My new in-construction box is an Asus S-Presso box. It has gentoo and xfce on
so far, the tv card has just been solved, but is inferior quality to the
other card saa7134 I own, so I will swap this over later, when the old freevo
box is relieved of duties.

The S-Presso is not MCE compatible, so they won't make any more, and finding
the right CPU wasn't easy as they aren't made either. However, the box is
really cute.

It came with a Linux based mini distro to run it without windows but trying to
boot the CD caused a kernel panic. I was hoping either to hack the
mini-distro or borrow drivers from it for various bits.

There are three infallible ways of pleasing an author, and the three form a
rising scale of compliment: 1, to tell him you have read one of his books; 2,
to tell him you have read all of his books; 3, to ask him to let you read the
manuscript of his forthcoming book. No. 1 admits you to his respect; No. 2
admits you to his admiration; No. 3 carries you clear into his heart.
