Somebody else had the same or similar problem with a USB tv card, they solved their problem by rmmod and modprobing the device driver. Looks like USB TV card drivers are not yet stable, but there are some setting that you can use to run you own scripts before and after both recording and viewing. By adding to local_conf.py VCR_PRE/POST_REC VIDEO_PRE/POST_PLAY You can run a bash script to do what you want. Duncan > However this causes problems with scheduled recordings.
