I duplicated my freevo setup on a different box, for some strange reason
when playing widescreen movies in mplayer I see the normally black bars
that mplayer puts there flicker with some aspect of the color of the
movie showing.

I realize that when one buys an expensive Philips TV one can get this
option whilst I am getting it for free now ;-) Yet I did not buy such a
TV and I do not want it in mplayer

I am using the following command line which seems innocent enough.

CommandLine: '-autosync' '100' '-nolirc' '-autoq' '100' '-screenw' '768'
'-screenh' '576' '-fs' '-slave' '-ao' 'alsa' '-v' '-vo' 'xvidix'
'-cache' '5000' '-idx'

does anyone have an idea what is going wrong here?

Paul
