There is a setting in local_conf.py :

AUDIO_COVER_REGEXP = 'front|-f|cover'

maybe setting it to :

AUDIO_COVER_REGEXP = '.*\.jpg'

would make it pick up the first .jpg it see's, and use that? Or maybe it 
chucks the ".jpg" on later, so you may have to use :

AUDIO_COVER_REGEXP = '.*'

I haven't tried this :)
