1. i had a working freevo with a saa7134 card
2. the card died and i got the hauppauge-350
3. I've got the hauppauge working from the command line, tune to desired
channel, watch tv with mplayer, record tv
4. when i try to watch tv with freevo i get a blank screen, a return to the tv
guide and it messes up the ivtv modules.
5. Either rmmod ivtv; modprobe ivtv OR reboot and i can watch tv again
I've got a series of files on http://www.billiau.net/~liz/freevo
so I don't overload uninterested mailboxes
I think that i've got something left in local_conf.py from the old card which
is messing everything up and I'd be very happy for assistance with this.

a listing from freevo -trace when trying to watch a tv channel
and what mplayer reports on the command line from a working and a not-working
attempt.
6. i know lirc isn't configured.
