What is -fs mode? LOL I have no idea!

I checked out that link, that is way more in depth then I have the linux
ability to go. I will be happy to make my irexec start it with the
power button (or some such button).
What command would i use:
begin
button = dvd
prog = irexec
repeat = 0
config = /etc/freevo/freevo <----clearly this ain't working.
end
I think my problem is that I don't know how to start a program to run in
a terminal. I created a launch Icon on my desktop for it, but Ubuntu
asks if you want to run it "in a terminal".
How would I enter it in the config line?
