Hi the list
I have a strange issue on my freevo box, not really related with
freevo, more with xorg or xine/mplayer
My setup use an ATI radeon video card plugged on a Sharp Aquos
LCD 32" (picture is great by the way, I'm really happy with this).
The output is setup to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (from the spec of the LCD).
I use ubuntu feisty.

I have two issues :

1) When xorg start, sometimes instead of having a 1360x768 I got
a 1024x768. I need to restart xorg to get the correct resolution, I paste
my xorg video section and also a part of the log of xorg starting. Maybe
someone with a similar setup can help me understand.

2) The second issue is a jitter problem. I have when watching video a
jitter problem (appears on the screen like a small shift in the image
position making kind of an horizontal line) I think it's due to a refresh
rate problem. I'm playing videos in PAL (50hz) or NTSC (60hz). I was
reading here :
http://www.linuxis.us/linux/media/howto/linux-htpc/video_card_configuration.html
http://www.acaciaclose.co.uk/21141/index.html
But I have a hard time to understand what to do. My LCD spec say I
should output in 60hz, one of the website advise to have a multiple of
the fps as refresh rate (in my case it's 25fps in PAL or 24fps/30fps in
NTSC),
so I should use 120hz ? It's way out of range for my LCD ? Should I try to
setup something in mplayer or xine or in the tvtime scaler to convert
every video properly for output in 60hz ?

If someone has a clue on one or the other issue, I'll take it :)

Thanks !

xorg log (interesting part only):
===================

when started in 1024 :
(II) fglrx(0): Total of 26 modes found for primary display.
(--) fglrx(0): Virtual size is 1024x768 (pitch 0)

when in 1366 :
(II) fglrx(0): Total of 27 modes found for primary display.
(--) fglrx(0): Virtual size is 1360x768 (pitch 0)

it seems the driver is sometimes detecting only 26 modes
instead of 27 (I'm guessing it's not detecting the 1360x768 mode
I'm using thanks to the modeline).
