However you can simply use the webserver and not freevo, just run 'freevo webserver start' from the command line but I guess you already knew that and it's the former that you want. I guess that might be an interesting idea to have just say the webserver (as it gets more polished and feature rich) and the recordserver as a package. There's a new webserver being written for freevo2 and the architecture for that seems more modular so maybe that could be possible in freevo2. Duncan, Dischi and others would have a better idea.
