Hi,

I have Microsoft remote and would really like to be able to skip faster to
the particular point in the video files (might be 2 hours long). Right now I
can only skip sequentially by a predefined time frame (relatively decent
value for mplayer, but very small one for xine). I've noticed in
local_config.py file there is a reference to some timeout value for mplayer
during which one can input the time position in the video file:

# MPLAYER_SEEK_TIMEOUT = 8

So, I guess there should be a way for at least mplayer to jump to the
particular timestamp in the video file. Right now when I'm pressing the
number buttons on the remote, I see the messages coming up onthe cosole
(when freevo has debug output enabled), but they don't seem to be bound to
anything.

Is there a solution to this? Can Xine be configured in similar fashion too?

Thanks,

Vlad
