I have latest freevo (1.7.3?) installed and it works quite well except for some lockups which I think is due to the VIA EN12000 or OpenChrome-drivers.
I wanted to try to get games working and installed zsnes. Unfortunately it doesn't start. When choosing a game it flashes and shows the "X-background" and cursor (gray striped/crossed background with an X-shaped cursor) but then immediately switches back to freevo. Looking in /var/log/freevo/main.log gives me: Playing: /storage/games/snes/Super Mario World (U).smc And no errors. Trying to run zsnes through SSH gives me errors about not being able to open /dev/fb0. Useful information in short: 1) I run freevo using X. 2) X is configured to use the openchrome driver and not the stock VIA driver. 3) The output is on TV only since I have no regular monitor. Any ideas? /Hannes ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. Still grepping through log files to find problems? Stop.
