You can check with the exif command and look for orientation:
exif /path/to/image

Sounds like a good idea.

Best to pause the slide show and then rotate, you can move to the next
picture with CH+/CH- keys.

You may need to run freevo cache for the thumbnails to be updated.

It used to work, so that when an image was rotated next time it was
viewed it came back in the same rotation that it was last viewed. I
suspect that this got a bit broken, will need to check.

Can you check you pictures with the exif command as I wouldn't expect
you to see images both normal or upside down.
