Hi there,

I would like to tell you that I solved the problem, and would like to
clarify a few points. I had gave wrong information regarding the IR and
VFD of the shuttle box, and this got in the code right now! I was
fooled by a loosen wire, and I thought that I was seeing all of the
devices and wasnt.

So, the whole thing is Shuttle VFD module presents 2 devices. my system
report them as:

Bus 006 Device 003: ID 051c:0005 Shuttle, Inc.
Bus 004 Device 003: ID 1308:c001

051c:005 is the VFD (display) module, while 1308:c001 is the IR. At one
time I was seeing only one of these and made all this mistake. Another
thing that fooled me is that 1308 decimal is 051c hex (what a luck!).
So when I was playing with setvfd, I just changed the code as this:

# Device Constants
vendorID = 1308    # Shuttle Inc
productID = 0005   # VFD Module

To clean my mess we should had to take off (0x1308, 0xc001) from vfd.py.
Sorry!
