At present it would be a bit off putting for a noob looking at all those config options. I think it would be a really great resource to have a basic page that just asked something along the lines of:
What country are you in? What type of tv card do you have? Where do you want to store recorded tv? Where is you music stored? Where are you photos stored? Well you see what I'm getting at. From the country and card type you could configure the appropriate tv plugins, channels and xmltv grabber. There's a list of tv channels by country in the wiki so these would have to be included in freevo for you to pull in. Not all countries are there but if the country didn't match you could just display a message and tell the user to check the wiki for manual instructions on configuring this.
