I found it usefull... I use to use irexec to do this kind of thing, but doing the same from inside freevo is better and keep me away from lircrc. I have a LCD tv with a serial input, and to be able to control it from freevo is nice as with a simple script I can change from TV to hdmi (and adjust the volume settings) with just one button from one remote. good for WAF too.
