use checkinstall:
smth like:
"checkinstall python setup.py" creates a deb package (of course if
checkinstall is configured properly).
installing in parallel is not a good idea. all versions use the same
/usr/lib/.. directories. but you can install all python apps
locally. smth like:
"python setup.py install --prefix=/home/name/freevo-test/". i don't
know how dependencies are handled in this case. but i remember i've
tried this some time ago (before started using freevo) and it worked.
afais 1.7.5 doesn't need new deps.
