Yeah there seems to be something up. I have the same problem and ran 
xmltv manually which created what seems to be a valid /tmp/TV.xml file 
but freevo still doesn't show any guide even after removing 
/var/cache/freevo/TV.xml & /var/lib/freevo/TV.xml.pickled. I'm running 
rel-1 revision 10255. I turned debugging up to 9 but still don't see any 
clues.
